Able Archer
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Able Archer is a retro top-down shooter where you control a tank and you have to defend your Command Post from waves of enemy tanks.
This game is still in development.
Controls
Movement
- W -> Up
- A -> Left
- S -> Down
- D -> Right
Combat
- Space -> Fire
Gameplay
Player Tank
It features an auto-loader that can reload shells in 1 second.
Base/Command Post
Keep it safe. Three hits and it is destroyed.
Enemy Tank
Kill them all to beat the level.

That's really fun! :) As a nerdy human, I love the inertia of the tank movement, and it's a really cool take on the top-down-tank game style! :) Also the art is really cool and unique. :)
I am really, really, bad at it, and would love to experience a mildly easier intro level, but... maybe I just need to get good by playing more! :)

Yeah I agree that the first level is too hard. I will definitely switch it to something gentler. I am also working on making the enemy spawn system more flexible so that I have more knobs to tweak for balancing.
